October 29-31: The Northern Lights Festival at Kalahari Resort in Baraboo, WI featuring Aziza, Mona N'Wal, Mirah Ammal, Christina King and Shira. This is an event to bring your extended families to play at the resort while you enjoy wall-to-wall workshops! At least two of us are interested in going to this event - please alert Jenahid if you'd like to carpool/share a room. Less spent on gas & hotel means more for costumes!
Summer Salad
Join Jenahid at the Healing Heart Center to learn new ways to move with the beat! Near Eastern Dance (bellydance) draws on organic movements that come easily with a little instruction. Dance can help you discover what your body and spirit can do together.
Summer is a time for travel, surprises and joy. Our schedule will skip a few Sundays as workshop season gets into full swing. Each week, we'll either learn a few moves and dance, try exercises to strengthen the muscles used for dancing (and then dance with them), or watch videos, discuss how movements were generated and attempt to recreate them.
Classes with Jenahid offer a gentle, low-impact workout that warms us as much as we like in the cold of winter. All ages, body types and genders are invited to celebrate the joy of being each week. Instruction utilizing a muscular approach to movement is tailored to the unique needs of the students. Information on Middle Eastern music and culture will be sprinkled liberally throughout the dancing.
Fall in love with your body – the bellydance community delightedly welcomes your round hips, stretch marked belly, and luscious thighs.

We're a couple blocks north of Kimberly Road/Spruce Hills Drive on the east side of the street in a brick building that is also shared with Addeco Staffing. Come up the long stairs behind the building or up the long ramp around the north side of the building. The entrance is on the back of the building.
$10 per class drop in or $65 in advance for an 8-class punch card

Registration forms will be available to complete the first time you come to class. You may join this class at any time. All levels of fitness and ability are welcome at any time.
